You can think of WomanSpeak as a transformational Toastmasters for women.
For many women, they find that the more masculine style of training in other speaking programs just doesn’t speak to them. In WomanSpeak, we learn how to get into our bodies and speak from this place (not our heads).
Many women join because they want to give better presentations at work or excel in public speaking. But women also join simply because they want to feel confident in speaking up everywhere and anywhere in their lives, including their relationships and work. They also want to gain deeper clarity of their own thoughts, opinions, and truth.
What I’ve found is at the core of this work, we’re building a deep sense of TRUST in ourselves.
That’s really what’s happening, and where the magic is.
In WomanSpeak we learn...
“Don’t try to say the right thing. Just focus on saying what’s true.”
We meet twice monthly (currently virtually) for two hours, where we practice the tools and curriculum that we’re learning that month, and get up and speak. You can expect to feel welcomed, seen, and celebrated — exactly as you are.
In WomanSpeak, we look for what’s working. We celebrate that, and enhance it. Rather than offer “constructive criticism”, we offer refinements. It’s a shift in energy that allows you to see the brilliance that is already there, and bring more of that into the world.
WomanSpeak’s unique curriculum is designed to support women in becoming clear, confident and influential in their speaking. It’s effective, transformative and fun. WomanSpeak’s practices have been featured and taught at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, Women@Microsoft, TEDxWomen, and more. Circles are happening all across the United States and in 7 countries, and growing quickly.
Most women find that outside of the 2 hour circle meeting, they only need about 30 minutes or so for going through the month's curriculum and practices, and working on any upcoming talks.
In my 2+ years leading my WomanSpeak Circle, I’m continually amazed at the power of some seemingly simple practices.
It often doesn’t feel like you’re doing much, and then all of a sudden you realize you’ve transformed your ability to speak up and share your voice. It’s wild and true!
